Chief of Operations Hermann Gruber
Police Chief Inspector and Chief of Operations
Hermann Gruber is in charge of the Coastguard Headquarters ashore, and he is also the liaison officer with the other organs of the state that co-operate on the coastguard missions. He is Ehlers' immediate superior and frequently resents the Captain's tendency to overstep the line and act on his own authority. Gruber loves to pepper his conversation with jargon. He is very conscientious with a strong sense of justice.
The actor Michael Kind
Michael Kind was trained in acting at the Ernst Busch School of Dramatic Art in Berlin. In addition to numerous appearances in films and television he has played in many theatres, including the Berliner Ensemble, the Deutsches Theater and the Freie Volksbühne in Berlin.
Appearances: "Polizeiruf 110", "Zappek", "Die Männer vom K3", "Balko", "Bella Block", "Im Namen des Gesetzes", "Klemperer – Ein Leben in Deutschland", "Sperling und der stumme Schrei", "Hat er Arbeit?", "Der Aufstand", "Die Datsche", "Kleinruppin forever", Brandauer's "Die Dreigroschenoper", and many more.
