Chief Engineer Wolfgang Unterbaur
Police inspector and Chief Engineer
Wolfgang Unterbaur is responsible for all the machinery on board the "Albatros II". A realist and a practical man, he only actually believes in anything he can touch – and repair. His colleagues have come to respect this oil-stained engineer not just for his professional expertise but also for his cheerful manner and loyal character.
The actor Elmar Gehlen
Elmar Gehlen trained at the Schneider School of Speech and Drama as well as taking private acting lessons from Hans Dietrich Zeitler. He worked as choreographer with the Hamburg State Opera and took various acting roles. He has directed approximately 60 operas and plays in a wide range of German theatres, as well as many episodes of Coastguard.
Appearances: "Marat", "Liebe und so weiter", "Verdi", "Tatort – Richter in Weiß", "Ein herrlicher Tag", "Der Schimmelreiter", "Kaputschefsky verliert", "In the Name of the Law", "Tatort – Tod vor Scharhörn" and many more.
